![]() Juniper was not only at risk from more aggressive dogs, but also of being euthanized at the shelter. It didn't help that she was heartworm positive. When Darlington County Humane Society Rescue volunteer Susan Blakeney met Juniper at the shelter to take her photos, she was so taken by Juniper's demeanor. Susan said, "She's a quiet, reflective dog. She loves leaning into you, and she loves any gentle attention you send her way." To see more photos of Juniper, click here. With Susan's great photos and advocacy efforts, the Annapolis Dog Rescue in Maryland agreed to take Juniper if she received her heartworm treatment before going to the rescue. Susan contacted RADAR to see if we could help, and we agreed. With RADAR's commitment to cover Juniper's heartworm treatment cost, Juniper was no longer at risk and was truly safe.
RADAR has paid the full $294 for Juniper's heartworm treatment that took place on December 4th.
UPDATE! Juniper was transported to her rescue on December 29th! UPDATE! Juniper was adopted! She had a pre-approved adopter, so she arrived at her rescue and the very next day went home with her furever family!
UPDATE! All funds for Juniper have been raised! Thank you!
